Disease is Never a Mistake: It’s Communication
Our October speaker, Jane Goldberg, Ph.D. is an oncological psychoanalyst, a psychologist and the author of eight books, including the critically acclaimed The Dark Side of Love and her two most recent: My Mother, My Daughter, Myself and The Hormesis Effect.
Dr. Goldberg is the owner of two La Casa Spa and Wellness Centers in NYC (a day facility) and Puerto Rico (a destination center). In her treatment of cancer patients, she has integrated her passion and devotion for both holistic and psychological approaches. She has helped resolve many bodily afflictions, including cancer, allowing patients to continue to live healthy lives in spite of previous dire prognostic indicators.
Dr. Goldberg is also the Creator and Director of Brainercize, a system of interactive exercises to maximize brain functioning (brainercize.org). Her latest books, The Revolutionary Mind Project and The Evolutionary Brain Project, give a blueprint for optimal BRAIN/BODY functionality.
In her talk to us, Dr. Goldberg will describe her innovative theory of cancer as a solution rather than a problem. As she will explain, cancer is not a democratic disease. It befalls some but not all of us. There are always reasons why we become its victims. When we understand the “why” we can also understand the “how” to reverse it. And then rather than being a victim, we have become a warrior.
Although originally totally cancer oriented, “The CARE Group” now stresses medical education for all diet, toxin and lifestyle related diseases. CARE (Cancer Awareness Research Exchange) is a non-profit support and education organization formed to help people make intelligent decisions about their treatment and lifestyle to maintain optimal health, be aware of the latest progress in all medical fields, and share experiences and concern with those in similar circumstances. A contribution of $10.00 is requested to help cover basic expenses. Each month we cover a topic appropriate to what is happening worldwide, with doctors and educators noted for their expertise in their own specific field.
“The CARE group” meets the first Thursday of each month at Westwood Elks Lodge at 523 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood NJ, 07675 at 7 pm. The meeting starts with a short update on health news and evaluation of new treatments and then our featured speaker, ending with Q&A or networking from about 9:00 to 9:30 pm. Personal interaction will be possible after that as time allows.
CARE meetings are open to medical professionals, patients, students, care-givers and to those who just wish to increase their knowledge in order to help others (God bless you). All services are provided by volunteers, and just showing up makes you a valued member!
For further information, questions or directions please call our moderator Harvey Kunz at 201-664-5005. If the line is busy email carecancergroup@gmail.com and I will return your call. We hope to see you at a meeting and feel sure you will enjoy our friendly group. All are welcome!
