Dr. Jane’s life was forever changed when her beloved mother informed her of a terminal cancer diagnosis. This occurred in the 1970s, long before holistic medicine became widely recognized. Jane committed to discovering ways for her mother to reverse her condition, traveling to different countries and studying with healers from around the globe. By following sound principles of nutrition, detoxification, frequency healing, and other aspects of holistic health, Jane's mother was able to completely reverse her cancer, transitioning from her wheelchair to joyfully playing tennis again.

Dr. Jane’s experience with her mother’s treatment inspired her to specialize in holistic and psychological approaches for cancer patients, resulting in the establishment of three holistic wellness centers. Her first center, La Casa de Vida Natural in Puerto Rico, was opened in 1986.

In addition to Jane’s expertise in holistic health, she is also:

She is listed in Who’s Who of American Women, Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare, Who’s Who in the East, Who’s Who of Women, International Who’s Who of Professional and Business Women, Who’s Who in Science and Engineering, Who’s Who in the World, Who’s Who in American Writers, International Who’s Who in Medicine.

Dr. Jane’s ninth and tenth books are companion pieces:

  • WIRED FOR WHY: How We Think, Feel, and Make Meaning (currently available on Amazon)

  • WIRED FOR HOW: The Brainercize   Solution (to be published in early 2026).

Jyl

Manager

Jyl performed in musical theater in Spain. When she returned to the U.S., she opened a linguistic theater program to teach Spanish to children. Subsequently, she went back to Spain and created a Spanish-Brazilian food business. At the age of 30, she became interested in permaculture and volunteered on several farms throughout the states. After discovering Puerto Rico, she decided to end her wandering years and made Puerto Rico her permanent home. As fate would have it, she met Jane and has managed La Casa ever since. She adopted Tootsie when she was a sickly newborn and nursed her to health by rehydrating her every two hours for two days, nonstop. She then gave birth to her two human children, Sequoia and Galileo. As a manager, Jyl incorporates her knowledge of permaculture, cooking, body work, and holistic wellness, and most of all, being a nurturing woman to all who cross her path—human, animals, plants, and otherwise.
